Lately ive been pretty busy with refurbishing some wheels. First it was off to local shot blasters to get shot of the old rubbish paint, which did an awesome job, but left it a bit rough, so a good few coats of etch primer were first to go on.
It was a bit gash, because you want to just paint like crazy, but I had to split the coats over different nights in the week.
It was -2 degrees some nights in that garage, so the layers weren't setting in a hurry, and I had to warm the cans up on the radiators indoors before starting each time. But I took my time, no runs, and pretty happy with the results considering it was aerosol.
After some coats of lacquer they really started to look good.
I had the paint shop match up the gold to one of the striping decals from the car, so they should match up nicely. Pictures of the change to the car to follow...
